The National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC) team is inviting farmers and contractors to visit its stand in the Land Drainage hub at Cereals to help spread the message on the importance of wearing an ATV helmet.
With the support of Can-Am and Logic helmets, the NAAC will have a quad bike on its stand and visitors will be invited to take a seat, wear a helmet and get their photo taken to share, using the hashtag #WearItandShareIt.
Jill Hewitt, NAAC Chief Executive commented, ‘The question is, why wouldn’t you wear a helmet. There have been 14 deaths in agriculture involving ATVs in the last five years, many caused by the lack of a helmet. We need a shift in attitude to ensure that every time anyone gets on a sit-astride ATV they automatically put on a helmet.’
This is a serious issue but, at Cereals, the NAAC will be bringing the message home with a bit of fun too – though no-one will be allowed to sit on the Can-Am quad without their Logic helmet!
Visit NAAC stand 511 in the Land Drainage Hub to find out more about ATV safety (and perhaps get your photo taken #WearItandShareIt).
Please support the #WearItandShareIt campaign on social media to help raise awareness and save lives. Be proud to wear a helmet, it could save your life.
