Massey Ferguson, a worldwide brand of AGCO (NYSE:AGCO), has announced the launch of its new MF Connect fleet monitoring system, that allows customers to keep a close eye on their Massey Ferguson and AGCO-built equipment as well as their whole fleet, including any other suitably equipped vehicle.
“Massey Ferguson has, for a long time, embraced increased connectivity as a way to help boost productivity and ease operations,” says Francesco Quaranta, Vice-President Sales, Marketing & Product Management, Massey Ferguson Europe & Middle East.
“We were one of the first tractor manufacturers to adopt ISOBUS and implement telemetry with AGCOMMAND and have championed their advantages ever since. We are now moving a step further, connecting anything, to everything, in line with AGCO’s Fuse smart farming commitment to digitise the entire farm for our customers and stakeholders.
“With MF Connect, our customers can now view machinery operations and equipment operating parameters in virtually real time on their mobile phone, tablet or desktop computer. This enables owners and managers to manage operations more effectively, helping to improve operating efficiency with remote diagnostics, ensuring optimum uptime on Stage V machines” he adds.
MF Connect enables users to monitor their entire machinery fleet, including those from other manufacturers that are fitted with the dedicated module. After creating a private profile on a dedicated web platform (going live at Agritechnica), users can then simply and securely sign-in to register their fleet. They are then able to view their MF Connect equipped machines on the secure webpage accessible on a desktop computer or a mobile device.
As well as helping to make changes to bring instant productivity gains, MF Connect provides a wealth of data, which can be analysed to, for example, highlight the most common causes of downtime, such as bottlenecks caused by waiting for trailers, or even where staff training may be required.Dealers, with customers’ permission, can provide remote monitoring and support via ‘pop up’ notifications and alarms. This means service staff will be immediately notified when there is an alarm, allowing them to and start trouble-shooting remotely, without delay and often before the owner or user knows there is a potential problem. This brings preventative maintenance to maximise machine uptime.
Massey Ferguson tractors from the MF 5700 S, the MF 6700 S, MF 7700 S to the MF 8700S can be ordered with MF Connect from the factory. The full MF IDEAL combine harvester range is also MF Connect ready and this option includes a three-year subscription providing a simple and easy process to register machines.
