Latest Pro-Til spec offers even more versatility and ease of use
Visitors to Mzuri stand 940 at Cereals will be able to see a whole host of new features to its popular Pro-Til one pass striptill drill range which, combined, increase efficiency and award the equipment ultimate versatility and ease of use.
The latest Pro-Til design features a new seeding coulter frame and arm assemblies which make the drill a fully modular machine suitable for most crops and conditions. It allows for the attachment of standard seeding coulters for use in strip tillage mode, as well as quick and easy integration of Xzact precision seeding units which turn the striptill drill into a one pass precision seeder.
The seeding coulters themselves have also been updated to deliver even more seeding depth accuracy and to reduce soil disturbance. A new coulter leg geometry and layout offer reduced metal wear with the seeding coulters being quicker and easier to fit, subsequently saving time and money.
The 2018 specification features a high-volume fan which offers increased drill responsiveness, more efficient seed distribution and faster seed shut off when engaging the toolbar in and out of work. The new fan has a lower tractor oil and power requirement, thus offering additional cost savings.
Furthermore, the new Pro-Til build will benefit from a revamped seeding tank which allows faster and easier seed drainage and is camera and LED light kit ready. The latest seed metering motors use waterproof fittings and corrosion guard paint for added longevity.
Fully ISOBUS compatible, the drills are available with an optional ‘plug and play’ lead for direct connection to the tractor ISOBUS terminal. The interface allows users easier access to features such as headland shut-off and variable rate application.
This year’s drill specification also features a DIN mount fit hitch which allows users to easily change tractor drawbar couplings.
