This car is a replica of a 1901 Locomobile steam car designed by the Stanley Brothers in 1899 in America. It is dimensionally correct and the method of construction is authentic. The original car raised steam with a pressurised system using a pilot light and petrol. This has now been modified to use kerosene in a commercial type burner. The brakes have been modified with the addition of a hydraulic disc system, although the original type rear contracting brake has been retained as a handbrake. Water consumption approx. 1 mile per gallon. Water capacity 20 gallons. Fuel capacity 6 gallons of kerosene. Fuel consumption approx. 15 miles per gallon.
