Q8 Erebus MP460 20L Q8 Erebus MP oils are multi-purpose gear and machine tool lubricants. With good oxidation resistance, they are fortified by highly effective extreme pressure, anti-wear , anti-corrosion and boundary reducing additives. Q8 Erebus oils combine the characteristics of high specification gear oils together with those of hydraulic fluids and slideway lubricants. They have excellent load carrying properties with a performance level exceeding the requirements of major gear oil specifications. Special friction characteristics make them ideal for worm reduction gears especially where worm wheel flaking has been observed when using a conventional or non-additive oil.  A high viscosity index and wide range of operating temperature is another feature of this range of oils. This means that from cold starting conditions (below zero up to 100°C), moving parts receive lubrication and protection against wear.
