I started out in the haulage business nearly 20 years ago, supplying hay & straw to many farmers in South West England, sometimes hauling tractors and machinery to the East on a return load. Quite by chance I bought and sold a few tractors. Over a couple of years the machinery dealing became so busy that I decided to sell my hay & straw business and concentrate on the machinery.
My aim is to buy right, keep our overheads to a minimum so that we can pass on this saving to the customer, looking for a quicker turnover by keeping our prices low. I am always looking for genuine, clean stock and am happy to quote you a price if you are looking to sell.

Established in 1977, James Pryce Tractors is a small family owned and run business based in Tiverton in the heart of Devon. Owned and managed by James and Andrew Pryce, in the early days the business focus was on the purchase and re-sale of tractors into export markets. However it soon became apparent that there was a local retail opportunity to service the needs of the farming community for parts and service. The site which is now K.J.Stoneman & Co Ltd had originally been a blacksmiths/hardware shop, last run by Mr Discumbe in 1940,s making drags & harrows. K.J. Stoneman & Co was established in the late 1940’s on the site of the old forge, by Ken Stoneman selling David brown tractors, Active, Bamford and Viking combines and Welger balers. In 1966 Ken sold Nuffield tractors.(Nuffield becomes Leyland in 1972 when a 50hp Leyland 253 was £1460)
Bob Heard joined the company in 1959 at the age of 16 and took over the company in 1972 with his then business partner Peter Vallance. In 1983 we became Deutz Fahr tractor and Combine Dealer. In 1984, we became a Suzuki ATV dealer and we are now the oldest running Suzuki dealership in the UK. In 1986 Bobs son Jason joined the firm as an apprentice. Bob became sole proprietor in early 1990’s. In the early 1990’s we became dealers for Same and Zetor Tractors. Our Garden Machinery Department opened in 1998. In 2001 we became dealers for Polaris ATV’s and UTV’s. In 2008 became a Limited company with Jason Heard as Managing Director.

Winston Pincombe is a family run independent garage based in Chulmleigh, North Devon that has beeen trading for approximately 30 years. The business is prodominently the sale of new and used Land Rover 4×4’s and Ifor Williams Trailers although we occasionally part exchange other makes of 4WD vehicles.
